We’re super excited to share with you the workshops that are in store for you at the Brighton Etsy Craft Party on 30th June. Your ticket grants you free access to all of these, so if you’ve not got your tickets yet grab them here!

Self Care Hell Yeah With Show Your Bones

A drop-in colouring-in workshop, perfect for crafty novices and experts alike. Kalee of Show Your Bones will be designing some colouring-in sheets in her signature graphic geometric style that feature some handy hints on how to keep your mind happy and healthy.

designosaur charm bracelet workshop

Join designosaur at the Craft Party this year to make your very own charm bracelet. Using laser cut charms (mainly dinosaurs) you can create the bracelet of your dreams. We’ll show you how to open and close a jump ring to attach your charms, and then you can wear it straight from the table. We have a rainbow of colours to choose from so come and drop in and get creative. Jacques and Karli will be on hand if you get stuck on the fiddly bits!

Badge Making with Woah There Pickle

Vicky from Woah there Pickle will be bringing her trusty badge maker to this year’s Craft Party again along with bits and bobs to draw, doodle or collage your own flair on the night.

Brushlettering Taster session with LH design
Come join LH design for an hour taster session learning the basics of Brushlettering. You’ll learn about how to hold the pen, as well as different pressures and textures and how to form letters with a brush pen. All equipment included (brush pen and pot of ink), limited availability of 8, first come first serve.

English Paper Piecing with The Pigeons Nest

Got piles of scrap fabric you have no idea what to do with? Are they leaking out of every cupboard and drawer and most of them are too small to actually be any use? Using very simple hand sewing techniques and some paper hexagons, you could transform them into a beautiful blanket and I will show you how!

This thrifty craft is one of my favourites and is great for those who like to have a hobby they can do on their commute, have stashed in their bag and can pick up and put down.

Fabulous Felted Butterflies with Karen Rao Felt Artist

The Wet Felting Experience follows the ancient art of rubbing wool with soap and water to create the ultra tactile and versatile material that is felt. Today we’ll be creating butterflies – or moths in this easy to follow workshop, ready to fly home with you with the additional use of pipe cleaners and hair clips!

Sew a Scrunchie with Mille Saisons

The scrunchie is coming to Brighton Etsy Craft Party! Learn to hand sew your very own scrunchie. Come and relax with some hand sewing- no sewing experience is needed as we will take you through each step. All materials are provided but feel free to bring your own fabric if you have a special piece you want to transform into a scrunchie. If you are bringing you own fabric, it would be helpful but not necessary to have it pre-cut to 44cm x 10cm.

Pom-ti Pom Pom with Yellow Bear Wares

Join a Pom-Pom frenzy and learn how to make multiple pom-poms at once, watermelon pom-poms or fork pom-poms, then you can turn these into a pompom crown, garland, keyring or experiment with your own ideas!

Papercut Pennat Banner Workshop with PorkChops PaperCuts

This workshop is the perfect opportuntiy to try your hand at papercutting. You will make a papercut pennant banner to hang on your wall or to give as a gift to your bae. We will go through some basic knife skills and safety precautions first with an opportunity to practice then swiftly move on to cutting out and assesmbling your own papercut pennant banner. This workshop is for absolute beginners or papercutting experts/ninjas. You can choose from some pre-exisiting designs or you can design your own if you’re feeling confident. Come and have a go.

Tassel Bag Clip Workshop with Meet and Make Group
We believe all bags are better with tassels! We’re so excited to be leading a workshop at this years Craft Party. We’ll be bringing our yarn, tassel makers, pompom makers and a whole bunch of wooden beads to turn into bag clips. Perfect for adding a summery feel to a bag, basket or key ring.

Fairy Light Making Workshop with Joanna Corney

Enjoy an evening of crafting and create your very own mini lampshade fairy lights! This workshop is great for either a beginner or experienced crafter and will teach you how to apply the lampshade PVC to your fabric or paper and string the 10 lights together! By the end of the workshop you will get to go home with your own set of fairy lights and will have all the skills to create many more wonderful little lights! This is a great chance to use up your favourite remnants and scraps of fabric or paper, so bring any along that you fancy using. There will also be plenty of fabric there for you to choose from!

Crocheted Baubles with Pomilly

This drop in workshop will teach you all of the techniques you need to make these super fun baubles! Whether you have never picked up a crochet hook or you have crocheted a little before, there is something you can learn from this. We will be using the Amigurumi crochet technique (don’t worry it’s easier to do than it is to pronounce) which basically means you work in the round and can create 3D shapes, as opposed to a granny square which is flat.  You will learn the basic stitch as well as how to increase and decrease. These baubles look great hung up around the house to brighten up a shelf, around a window frame, mirror or just about anywhere!

We can’t wait to welcome you all to our 2017 Craft Party! Don’t forget to join our Facebook event here.
More workshops to be announced soon too!
