Lola Hoad is a letterer, designer and mentor based in Brighton. She owns LH design, an independent design studio creating handlettered paper goods, and One Girl Band, a collective for self employed women to help empower and support one another.
Starting on Etsy in 2014, Lola now has a loyal online following, with stockists all over and hosts regular OGB meet ups around the country.
At this talk, we’ll be chatting about all things self employment, and how to set yourself up for success. We’ll be covering back-to-basics business topics like knowing your ideal customers inside and out, the world of wholesale, social media, content marketing, newsletters… as well as a more self-care approach to business; how to get the most out of your working day, avoiding burn out, confidence and your inner critic etc. This isn’t just for One Girl Band’s, this talk is for everyone and anyone who has a small business, and wants to be successful and create the life they want.
We are really looking forward to Lola coming to talk to us about running a successful business.
The talk is on Monday 14th November at the Old Market in Brighton, doors open at 7pm and the talk will begin at about 7:30. Join our Facebook event for all the latest.
