We’re pleased to share some photos from our Brighton Etsy Team stall at March of the Mermaids on Saturday 23rd July! The photos we kindly taken by team leader Kate of Oh Someday.
If you haven’t already heard then Brighton Etsy Team are excited once again to have team up with The World Cetacean Alliance as part of their Untangled Project.
Many of our team members kindly volunteered to make something nautical themed to list in their Etsy shop and sell with a percentage of sale donated to the WCA. We showcased these products at our stall at March of the Mermaids on Saturday 23rd of July. You can find out more about each of the products and their makers in our previous post here. The products will all still be available online until Christmas (unless they sell out before) so do go and have a browse.
This project is in aid of the WCA. The World Cetacean Alliance (WCA) is the world’s largest global partnership to protect whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans) and their habitats. The WCA’s Untangled Project aims to highlight and address the problems created in our seas by ghost gear – abandoned fishing net/line/rope – which is causing the death of hundreds of thousands of marine animals every year. For more information or to make a donation please go to www.worldceteanalliance.org.
With thanks to all our talented makers who have taken part in the project and the team leaders and members who kindly volunteered their time on our stall. We’ll update you in December with a total from the WCA of the amount everyone has raised for them!
